Jeff Feld: Lucky Dollar
2015
Jeff Feld employs and references everyday objects, forms, and materials to illustrate and draw attention to the banalities, imperfections, and shifting meanings of the social and physical environments we encounter every day. Lucky Dollar is a sculptural installation through which Feld reflects on the transient presence of the ubiquitous 99-cent store and his own ambivalent complicity in cultural incursions upon New York City's vibrant but under-resourced communities, such as Crown Heights.
Jeff Feld lives and works in Ridgewood, Queens. His sculptures and drawings have been featured in both national and international exhibitions, including White Columns, Artists Space, The Drawing Center, The Brooklyn Museum and the Queens Museum of Art in New York, the Rokeby Gallery in London and Dunker Kulturhus in Helsinborg, Sweden.
